Ski Montcalm: Quebec's first covered conveyor belt by FUNBELT®

In order to increase its reception capacity, the Ski Montcalm resort marked a major turning point during the 2019-2020 season with the acquisition of the first covered conveyor belt in Quebec. This FUNBELT® installation is the highlight of a complete reconfiguration of the learning slope, allowing to triple the learning area surface. For beginners, this conveyor belt transforms the initiation into a serene experience, facilitated by an effortless ascent within a modern and secure space.

The protective gallery considerably enhances user comfort by sheltering them from wind and often harsh weather conditions in the Laurentians. Besides the aesthetic aspect and total visibility of the mountain, this gallery guarantees reliable operation throughout the season and allows to boost the lift capacity from 500 to 1,500 skiers per hour, thus considerably streamlining traffic at the base of the resort.
